I had a GREAT afternoon!
My mother in law called this morning saying she wanted to take all her 4 of her grandkids to Fun Zone. I thought she must be crazy to haul all of them to Montgomery on a day when she doesn't watch them, but okay. :) Troy left here at 11:30 to take the kids to MIL's. I read a little bit and fell asleep. I woke up when Troy came home with McDonald's for me and announced he was going hunting with Ronnie, his best friend. So I ate that while I watched a little TV, then I read a bunch more then I went to sleep for a total of 3 hours. MIL kept calling me telling me how much fun the kids were having...they sure sounded like they were having a great time too. I know I was. LOL I really needed an afternoon like this. It was great!
I was able to finish the book I've been reading. It's called "Goodnight Nobody" by Jennifer Weiner. It's a great novel about a mom with 3 kids, trying to solve the mystery of who murdered her neighbor. There was no blood and guts (which I hate reading) and I identified a lot with the stressed, sarcastic, and funny main character. :)
Next, I'll be reading "Jarhead" that Randy & Kristin gave me for Christmas. I'm excited about it too.
I've decided that I need more me time in my life. I get overly stressed WAY too easily. I think I can do everything and I do it but my nerves pay for it. Over the last week or so, I've tried to pay attention to myself more. I've watched movies, I've read, I've chatted online with friends, listened to music, napped, and gone to bed early all while first taking care of my priority: my husband and kids. It's amazing how good me time makes me feel. :)
